DEPUTY MINISTRY HEAD

Manna Ministry is a Christian outreach ministry making a real difference in our city. We work with the poor and the disadvantaged in our community by caring for them through home visits, food distribution, education support and many other activities.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This challenging senior role requires an individual, who is commercially savvy and spiritually mature, with strong organizational skills, and highly effective in leading, motivating and training staff members and volunteers. You will be fully in-charge of all Manna Ministry activities: responsible for planning, organizing, leading Manna Ministry activities, and identifying community needs, so as to develop effective programs to advance Manna Ministry’s impact in the community.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Possess a genuine passion for serving the underprivileged
  • Experience working with the underprivileged is preferred
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Experience in leading Christian based programs is desirable
  • Tertiary qualifications
  • Fluency in Cantonese and English
  • High-level of interpersonal and communication skills

MINISTRY COORDINATOR

This is a full-time position in the Church Office and responsibilities will include:
  • To develop and lead programs in various Manna’s English and one-on-one Tuition Activities
  • To plan and organize inreach/outreach activities for Manna kids/youth
  • To develop and review teaching materials for volunteers
  • Responsible for contacting and ministering to children and new migrant families who need immediate help
  • To recruit, communicate and minister to tutors and volunteers on a regular basis
  • Identify community needs, evaluate current programs and to design relevant programs
  • Act as a liaison person between ICA Manna Ministry and outside local ministries serving the poor and local schools/NGOs which Manna ministry partner with
  • Responsible for Manna website and all communications
  • Support other Manna projects in administrative tasks when required
  • Assist in matters pertaining to ICA’s ministry to the poor as required by the Head of Manna Ministry
  • Any other tasks which may be assigned by the Head of Manna Ministry or Senior Pastor
REQUIREMENTS
  • University degree or diploma with minimum 3 years’ relevant working experience
  • Previous working experience with family and children is an advantage
  • Proficient in written and spoken Chinese and English
  • Mature, detail-minded, and self-motivated
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
